Kayley Stoner - Associate Attorney

Picture
Kayley Stoner has always had an interest in and passion for family law, and has directed her academic and professional careers toward just that.  In 2012, Ms. Stoner obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. Because of her love for Savannah and her familial ties to the area, Ms. Stoner decided to obtain her Juris Doctor degree from the recently established Savannah Law School, where she was a John E. Ryan scholarship recipient.
While in law school, Ms. Stoner was a member of the Moot Court Honor Board, serving as both Vice Justice and Secretary Treasurer. As a member of Moot Court, Ms. Stoner competed in local and national Moot Court competitions, gaining valuable legal writing and speaking experience. In addition to Moot Court and attending law school full-time, Ms. Stoner managed to juggle a number of internships with local family law firms and the Superior Court of Chatham County. Her internships in family law allowed Ms. Stoner to gain experience in family law and familiarize herself with the legal community in the Savannah area. Her internship with the Chatham County Superior Court afforded Ms. Stoner the rare opportunity to see firsthand how judges’ offices operate behind the scenes. In addition to her internships and extracurricular achievements, Ms. Stoner received the CALI Excellence Award in Ethics and Professional Responsibility. Finally, Ms. Stoner served as research assistant to Kellyn D. McGee, Savannah Law School's Dean of Students.
In May 2015, Ms. Stoner was a member of Savannah Law School’s inaugural graduating class. She passed the July 2015 Georgia Bar Exam, and became licensed to practice in October 2015. Since becoming a licensed attorney, Ms. Stoner has almost exclusively practiced family law. She has experience in all matters pertaining to family law, including but not limited to, divorce, custody, alimony, child support, and adoption. Ms. Stoner is a knowledgeable and passionate advocate for her clients.
